The February issue of The Grawn explores the quieter corners of Downtown Los Angeles in the weeks after the new year settles in. Gallery Row is mid-season, the Art Walk draws a faithful crowd to the second Thursday, and a handful of studios in the Arts District have opened their doors to a run of winter shows that reward the cold-weather visitor.
This page features reviews and listings from the current exhibition season across the Historic Core. Highlights include recent work at 901 Gallery, a ceramics survey at a South Spring Street cooperative, and continued coverage of the public mural programme along the First Street corridor between the Arts District and Little Tokyo.
The Grawn is a free monthly arts and culture publication distributed across Downtown Los Angeles. Founded in 2012, the publication covers the visual arts, music, food and community life of the DTLA neighbourhood. Back issues are available from selected galleries and coffee shops throughout the district.
